Commercial Insurance Service Manager - Insurance

We are looking for a Commercial insurance Service Manager to be responsible for managing policy sales and overseeing the service team. The responsibilities of an insurance service manager include setting and monitoring sales goals, facilitating the professional development of the team, and providing co-workers and especially customer support.

To be successful as an insurance service manager, you should have strong interpersonal skills, be passionate about providing support and motivation. Ultimately, a top-notch insurance service manager should be an exceptional leader, have good customer relations skills, and be goal-driven.

Insurance Service Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee service team (6-12 members)
  • Assist with managing renewals and oversee managing accounts
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments
  • Answering customer inquires
  • Mediating questions/concerns with customers and carriers

 

Insurance Service Manager Requirements:

  • College degree preferred or comparable work experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in the commercial insurance industry with a primary focus on service, and in-depth knowledge of applicable coverages
  • CPCU, CIC, AIS, CRIS designations a plus
  • Strong base plus bonus/commission
  • Demonstrated management experience in a client service environment
  • A Property & Casualty License from state of domicile are required and must be maintained
  • Solid understanding of policies, products, servicing, and marketing of new and renewal business
  • Be able to provide mentorship
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
