Refrigeration Field Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Field Service Technician to provide technical expertise, training, and leadership across an assigned territory. This role involves working closely with the Service Manager, sales staff, and end users to ensure exceptional service quality, troubleshoot technical issues, and improve service networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial or residential refrigeration, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and support for all service functions within the assigned territory.
• File reports to update the Service Manager on concerns, completed work, and outstanding needs.
• Assist territory sales staff and end users with technical support issues, acting as a liaison to ensure timely and accurate resolutions.
• Conduct Field Service training on all product lines, including commercial and residential refrigeration products and procedures, for service providers.
• Evaluate and enhance the service network by identifying new service providers and addressing underperforming companies in coordination with the sales staff.
• Act as the technical liaison between the territory and company headquarters, collaborating to troubleshoot and resolve repeat service issues.
• Support technical changes and improvements to products as necessary.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory for training, technical support, and trade shows.

Qualifications:

• Certificate from a college, technical school, or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or residential refrigeration field service.
• HVAC-Refrigeration certification is preferred.
• Must reside within one hour of a major airport.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the territory and to company headquarters for training.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to small and large groups.
• Customer-focused, reliable, professional, and service-oriented.
• Fluency in other languages is a plus.
