A national defense litigation firm is seeking a civil litigation defense associate for its Dallas office to support and handle defense matters for corporate and insured clients.
Responsibilities
- Handle civil defense matters from case evaluation through discovery, motions, and trial preparation
- Draft pleadings, written discovery, motions, and legal memoranda
- Take and defend depositions and attend hearings and mediations
- Report to clients and work closely with partners on case strategy
Requirements
- 1-4 years of civil litigation experience, defense side preferred
- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Texas
- Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage deadlines across an active docket
Compensation and benefits
- $125K-$140K, based on experience
Work arrangement
Full-time, in office in Dallas.
