Job Description

A long-standing, customer-owned community bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer to join its growing Ingham County team. This confidential search is managed externally.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a commercial loan portfolio with an annual goal of ~$10MM

  • Develop full business relationships across loans, deposits, and treasury services

  • Source new business through community involvement and COI networks

  • Structure and underwrite loans across CRE, C&I, SBA, and construction

  • Maintain sound credit quality and compliance with lending policy

  • Represent the bank in the local business and professional community


Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of commercial lending or credit experience preferred

  • Strong credit acumen and relationship-building skills

  • Community-focused, self-motivated, and team-oriented

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred; formal credit training a plus
