Job Description

Gpac is working with a client that is a leading co-manufacturer for a nation brand in Upstate New York that is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Manager.

In this role you will coordinate production activities, act as a liaison between departments, and ensure equipment reliability to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee production, housekeeping, and support activities on the 2nd shift.
  • Act as a liaison between production and other departments, making priority decisions on plant-wide issues.
  • Provide coaching to supervisors in achieving performance standards related to safety, line utilization, and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and promote a safe work environment.
  • Evaluate work processes for efficiency and implement necessary improvements.
  • Provide hands-on training for new and seasoned employees.
  • Explore opportunities for skill and quality standards training.
  • Monitor and reduce production downtime, enhancing PM completion rates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of packaging experience with engineering background (Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical).
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Mechanical experience in maintaining equipment.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
