Insurance Defense Attorney – Hybrid | Portland, Oregon
A well-established and respected law firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join their growing team in Portland, Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled attorney to collaborate with experienced Partners and Associates in a dynamic and team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a diverse caseload of insurance defense litigation, including general liability, personal injury, and property damage claims.
- Independently manage cases from inception to resolution, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance companies, and opposing counsel.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies and ensure efficient case management.
Requirements:
- 3-7 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Strong background in general liability and related practice areas.
- Trial experience is a plus but not required.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced legal environment.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active Oregon Bar license (Washington licensure is a plus).
