Responsible for managing bids and estimates and serve as the initial point of contact for many of our client’s customers and vendors.  The Estimator position requires attention to detail, constant organization, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and personalities simultaneously.  You must be motivated, creative strategic, and tactful.  You will work closely with management and support teams striving to achieve total customer satisfaction and optimal revenue generation.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, and track bid and estimate requests.
  • Develop estimates and bids including reviewing RFPs for all project information; complete takeoffs from bid documents; research products and materials as needed.
  • Communicate constantly with project managers, production staff and installers to determine costs; subcontractors and vendors to request quotes; clients and general contractors to clarify scope and develop/resolve RFI.
  • Use estimating tools to develop pricing.
  • Review draft estimates with management for approval.
  • Submit estimates to clients.
  • Support project managers by estimating change order costs.
  • Position will start onsite and transition into a hybrid role

The perfect candidate will have previous experience in the sign industry; capable of working outside of the non-traditional work hours; demonstrate a robust ability to analyze options and problem-solve the unexpected; read blueprints and technical documents; have a mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years construction estimating experience is preferred. Experience with signage and graphics, custom fabrication, millwork, exhibit/display or another related field is a plus.
  • WILL ACCEPT SOMEONE WHO IS A FABRICATOR OR INSTALLER AND TRAIN ON THE ESTIMATING
  • Demonstrated understanding of materials and fabrication methods.
  • Comfortable reading architectural and engineering drawings and interpreting specifications documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and negotiate effectively and work directly with clients, contractors, and vendors to win bids, build relationships, and maintain profitability.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.  Ability to manage multiple urgent deadlines and track progress on dozens, if not hundreds of opportunities.
  • MS Office Suite Proficient.  Able to use Adobe Creative Suite to effectively evaluate bid documents.  Able to learn new software as needed.
  • Compensation is based on experience, skills, and certifications.
