Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all phases of municipal construction projects from preconstruction through close-out.

  • Direct project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation in coordination with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

  • Manage preconstruction activities including estimating, design review, constructability analysis, and value engineering.

  • Provide executive-level leadership to project teams, mentoring project managers and superintendents.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with municipal agencies, governing bodies, and community stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with municipal codes, contract requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

  • Oversee procurement strategies, contract negotiations, and risk management.

  • Monitor project financials, prepare executive reports, and present updates to senior leadership and municipal clients.

  • Resolve conflicts and implement solutions to maintain momentum on complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, quality, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Executive or senior construction leader managing municipal projects.

  • Strong background in all phases of construction, including preconstruction, execution, and close-out.

  • Expertise in budgeting, cost controls, scheduling, and resource management.

  • Demonstrated success in leading project teams and mentoring staff.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with municipal clients and agencies.

  • In-depth knowledge of municipal codes, permitting, and compliance requirements.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on client satisfaction.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).

  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM, LEED AP) a plus.
