Quality Manager – CNC / Machine Shop
A growing manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead and oversee quality systems in a precision CNC and fabrication environment. This role ensures parts meet strict customer and industry standards, driving continuous improvement while leading the quality team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain ISO-compliant quality management systems
- Lead inspections, audits, and corrective action processes (internal & external)
- Manage calibration programs for precision measurement tools and CMM equipment
- Partner with engineering and production to resolve non-conformance issues
- Train and mentor inspectors and shop personnel in quality best practices
- Oversee PPAP, FAI, and documentation for customer requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar tools
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in a quality leadership role within CNC machining or metal fabrication
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and machining processes
- Hands-on experience with CMM programming (PC-DMIS, Zeiss, Mitutoyo, or similar)
- Familiar with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and corrective action reporting
- Proven background with ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
