Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney: Defend Physicians and Hospitals in Orlando

Our client, a respected Florida defense firm, is seeking a Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its Orlando office. The practice defends physicians, nurses, hospitals, surgical centers, and long-term care providers in professional liability claims from pre-suit investigation through verdict.

This is an in-office role in Orlando, where you will work closely with a seasoned healthcare defense team.

What You'll Do

• Handle medical negligence claims from the pre-suit notice stage through trial
• Review and analyze medical records with physicians and nurse consultants
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and detailed reports to carriers and clients
• Take and defend depositions of treating physicians, experts, and parties
• Attend mediations, hearings, and trials alongside senior trial counsel

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
• 3+ years of medical malpractice, healthcare, or insurance defense litigation experience
• Familiarity with Florida's medical malpractice pre-suit requirements
• Strong writing, organization, and client communication skills
• Commitment to working in office in Orlando
