Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily Construction
Location: Austin, TX
Overview:
A respected multifamily general contractor in Austin is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the on-site management of ground-up multifamily projects. This is a great opportunity for a construction professional looking to gain hands-on leadership experience and grow into a full Superintendent role. You’ll work alongside an experienced team delivering high-quality apartment and mixed-use communities across the region.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Superintendent with day-to-day field operations on active job sites
Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections to keep the project on schedule
Help enforce jobsite safety and quality standards
Review plans, specifications, and submittals to ensure work is being built to design
Monitor progress, document daily reports, and communicate updates to the project team
Support punch list creation and project closeout activities
Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability on the job site
Requirements:
2–4+ years of experience in multifamily construction (field or assistant superintendent roles preferred)
Knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and jobsite safety
Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, organized, and eager to grow into a leadership position
OSHA 10/30 certification a plus
