Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily Construction

Location: Austin, TX

Overview:
A respected multifamily general contractor in Austin is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the on-site management of ground-up multifamily projects. This is a great opportunity for a construction professional looking to gain hands-on leadership experience and grow into a full Superintendent role. You’ll work alongside an experienced team delivering high-quality apartment and mixed-use communities across the region.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Superintendent with day-to-day field operations on active job sites

  • Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections to keep the project on schedule

  • Help enforce jobsite safety and quality standards

  • Review plans, specifications, and submittals to ensure work is being built to design

  • Monitor progress, document daily reports, and communicate updates to the project team

  • Support punch list creation and project closeout activities

  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability on the job site

Requirements:

  • 2–4+ years of experience in multifamily construction (field or assistant superintendent roles preferred)

  • Knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and jobsite safety

  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated, organized, and eager to grow into a leadership position

  • OSHA 10/30 certification a plus
