Trust & Estates Attorney | Estate & Tax Planning

A well-established Jacksonville law firm is seeking a Trust & Estates Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in working on estate planning, trust administration, and tax-related matters while advising individuals and families on long-term wealth and estate strategies.

The ideal candidate will have experience with estate and tax planning, including drafting estate planning documents and assisting with trust administration and probate matters. An LL.M. in Taxation is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies, including drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
  • Assist with trust administration and probate matters, guiding clients through estate settlement processes
  • Support estate and gift tax planning, including preparation or review of IRS Forms 706 and 709
  • Counsel fiduciaries, trustees, and beneficiaries on their roles and responsibilities
  • Assist with trust funding, asset transfers, and related estate planning matters
  • Collaborate with financial advisors and CPAs to develop comprehensive estate planning solutions
  • Conduct legal research and draft estate planning and tax-related documents

Qualifications & Skills

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • 3+ years of experience in trust and estate law
  • Background in estate planning and tax planning preferred
  • LL.M. in Taxation is a plus
  • Working knowledge of trust administration and probate procedures
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively
