Geotechnical Engineer in Winchester

Job Description

I have a top engineering firm in the area that is looking to add a Geotechnical Engineer to their team. Due to the recent growth of the firm, there is an opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a team of highly motivated staff.

Geotechnical Engineer Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis for retaining walls and bridges, structures and buildings, dams and levees
• Data reduction and organization to provide recommendations for foundation design
• On-site observation of excavation techniques and soil sampling
• Co-design multiple geotechnical engineering projects, concurrently
• Co-coordinate and execute various projects with geotechnical staff
• Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives.

Geotechnical Engineer Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering
• PE certification preferred
• Project experience with bridges, roadways, retaining walls, slopes, and embankments, buildings and various methods of ground improvements.
• Software Skills: Microstation, AutoCAD preferred, proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Must be willing to travel to work sites locally
