Position: Foundation Grants Manager
Reports to: Executive Director of Development
Full-Time Position
We are seeking an experienced grants manager with 2-4 years of experience and a proven track record of securing significant grant support specifically in nonprofit development with a focus on building and managing foundation partnerships to join our team.

Grants Manager Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience, specifically in nonprofit development with a focus on building and managing foundation partnerships.
- Proven track record of securing significant grant support and meeting fundraising goals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with grant partners.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies.
- A strong collaborator with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to design and execute realistic timelines, task delegation, and project management during grant grant-seeking process.
- Professional acumen in all interactions and the highest level of integrity, including adherence to the Grant Professionals Association and Association of Fundraising Professionals Code of Ethics.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Excellent technical writing, editing, formatting, and spreadsheet manipulation skills.
- Data orientation with experience working with CRMs (NEON preferred)
- Passion for LGBTQ+ rights and youth homelessness issues.
Grant Manager Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of approximately $2M in private source (community, private, corporate, and family foundations) grant revenue, overseeing outreach, LOI, tours, meetings, grant applications, execution, stewardship, and renewal of grants.
- Prospect Generation: Identify, cultivate, and secure partnerships with foundations to support the work of the agency. Develop tailored grant applications, presentations, tours, and in-person and virtual meetings to build relationships with grant-making bodies.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with the President and Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director of Development, Government Grants Manager, and the development team to integrate the various roles each member of the team plays in building foundation partnerships
