A reputable and steadily growing commercial General Contractor is seeking a Commercial Construction Estimator with 5+ years of experience to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful, well-managed projects while playing a key role in preconstruction strategy.

This is a high-impact position, not a back-office estimating seat. The right individual will help shape competitive, accurate bids and directly influence project success.

Position Overview The Estimator will lead and support pricing efforts for ground-up and renovation commercial projects. You will collaborate closely with leadership, preconstruction, project management, and subcontractors to develop complete, competitive, and profitable proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed conceptual and hard-bid estimates

• Perform comprehensive quantity takeoffs and cost analysis

• Solicit, scope, and level subcontractor bids

• Develop and clarify scopes of work

• Identify value engineering opportunities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents

• Participate in preconstruction meetings and client discussions

• Ensure smooth turnover to operations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience

• Strong background in ground-up and renovation projects

• Solid understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and pricing

• Experience with estimating software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, OST, ProEst, Sage Estimating, or similar)

• Advanced Excel skills

• Ability to independently review plans and specifications

• Construction Management, Engineering, or related background preferred
