Natural Resources/Municipal Attorney Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented attorney with 3+ years of experience to counsel and support public agencies on matters involving critical infrastructure, land use, water resources, environmental compliance, and public governance. In this role, you’ll partner with agency leaders to navigate complex regulatory frameworks, craft practical solutions, and help ensure the delivery of essential community services. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact—advising on projects that shape California’s future and address some of today’s most pressing legal and environmental challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic legal support to boards and management teams of public agencies that manage water, sewer, and other essential infrastructure.
Counsel clients on issues involving public governance, environmental regulation, land use, public finance, and infrastructure development.
Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, ordinances, and regulatory documents to help agencies meet operational and compliance goals.
Represent clients in administrative, regulatory, and court proceedings as needed.
Partner with colleagues in a collaborative, high-performing environment that values initiative, innovation, and client service.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of relevant practice area experience.
Comfortable engaging directly with clients and participating in occasional public meetings.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with the ability to deliver clear, practical legal guidance.
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, solution-driven approach.
Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar.
