Maintenance Technician III

A leading, fast-growing metal manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III to join its team. This facility supports major national brands through custom metalworking and advanced production processes. Position Summary: This role is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, repairing, and testing plant equipment and building systems. The Maintenance Tech III also trains new employees, supports continuous improvement efforts, and occasionally leads maintenance projects. The ideal candidate is self-driven, resourceful, and confident working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train employees on proper equipment operation and answer technical questions.

  • Perform inspections, cleaning, and preventative maintenance on machinery and building systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including responding to urgent work orders.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

  • Improve preventative maintenance processes through continuous improvement methods.

  • Assist with fabrication, including welding, cutting, drilling, and equipment modification.

  • Maintain accurate repair records and provide timely project updates.

  • Replace machine parts during repairs and collaborate with maintenance leadership as needed.

    Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • At least two years of related technical training and three years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing maintenance practices.

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Knowledge of proper safety procedures and use of safety equipment.

  • Ability to perform complex maintenance tasks, organize work, and utilize maintenance-related computer applications.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to train and support new team members.

  • Demonstrated work ethic and ability to work independently and within a team.
