We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Medical Billing Manager to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Billing Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims and maximizing revenue for our medical facility. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the medical billing department and lead a team of billing specialists.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of medical claims to insurance companies and government agencies.
  • Monitor and analyze billing and coding data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant healthcare regulations, coding changes, and insurance guidelines to maintain compliance.
  • Resolve billing issues, denied claims, and appeals with insurance companies to maximize revenue.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and medical staff, to streamline billing processes and improve revenue cycle management.
  • Implement best practices and efficiency measures to optimize the billing and collections processes.
  • Train and mentor billing team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure billing accuracy and adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Medical Billing Manager or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical billing procedures, coding systems (CPT, ICD-10), and insurance claim submission processes.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance regulations and privacy laws (HIPAA).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a billing team and interact with other departments.
  • Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate meaningful reports for management.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) certification is a plus.
