Our client, an established, employee-owned architecture, civil engineering and land surveying firm serving communities across the Great Lakes region, is growing its survey practice and has an immediate need for a licensed Professional Land Surveyor.
What you'll do:
- Direct or conduct boundary surveys to establish legal property lines from deeds and titles
- Perform topographic surveys, land divisions and construction layout
- Prepare and certify sketches, maps, plats, reports and legal descriptions; write property descriptions for deeds and other legal documents
- Verify accuracy of field data, measurements and calculations; calculate elevations, relative positions and property lines
- Research legal records, survey records and land titles
- Prepare or supervise preparation of survey data, plots, maps and records
- Analyze survey objectives and help prepare survey proposals
- Collaborate with in-house engineering and architecture teams; report to the Regional Survey Manager
What we're looking for:
- Professional Surveyor (PS) license required (Michigan)
- 2+ years of experience as a licensed professional surveyor
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying
- Proficient in AutoCAD; drafting/detailing experience
- Highly motivated, team-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication
- Comfortable with local travel to project sites
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
