A boutique plaintiff law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join their growing practice, which specializes in complex personal injury and class action cases. This is a unique opportunity for an attorney with strong litigation experience to play a pivotal role in supporting high-stakes cases.

The firm is recognized for its commitment to justice and excellence in handling intricate legal matters. As an Associate Attorney, you will focus heavily on research, writing, and case development to support the lead attorney. While trial work is managed by the firm's senior partner, you will play a crucial role in crafting strategies and building strong cases from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft high-quality memoranda, motions, and briefs.
  • Collaborate with the lead attorney to develop litigation strategies and prepare for trial.
  • Analyze complex legal issues in personal injury and class action cases to support case theories.
  • Review and interpret case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to federal and state-level litigation.
  • Assist with discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for admission, and document production.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of complex civil litigation experience, preferably with a background in personal injury, class action, or similar fields. Defense attorneys are welcome to apply.
  • Skills: Strong research, writing, and analytical skills are essential for success in this role. A writing sample will be required during the interview process.
  • Federal Experience: Experience litigating at the federal level is strongly preferred.
  • License: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in the United States. While California licensure is not required, it is preferred.

Why Join the Firm?

  • Work with a highly experienced legal team known for its expertise in complex litigation.
  • Contribute to meaningful cases that seek justice for individuals harmed by negligence or systemic wrongdoing.
  • Be part of a supportive and collaborative team that values integrity, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Opportunity to focus on substantive legal work and hone your skills in research, writing, and litigation strategy.
