PROJECT CIVIL ENGINEER

Performs engineering assignments of considerable difficulty on transit station projects, requiring a solid and extensive grasp of the civil engineering discipline.

Specific duties:

• Performs engineering design work and calculations on transit station projects, and prepares plans, specifications and cost estimates through the use of CADD, Civil 3D, MS Word, MS Excel, Bluebeam and other software.

• Regularly performs project management and control duties. Tasks may include direct involvement with development or maintenance of contract scope, budget, and schedule. Manage scope and budget for specific tasks on complex projects.

• Coordinate with subconsultants on interfaces between disciplines.

• Supervising less experienced engineers and/or technicians on multiple or specific tasks.

Qualifications:

• State of California registration, as a Civil Engineer.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience, including demonstrated ability to perform as a Professional Engineer in Responsible Charge of tasks or a project.

• Comprehensive knowledge of CADD, Civil3D and other business application software programs.

• Advanced working knowledge of Civil Engineering and Project Management.

• Excellent time management skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
