Insurance Defense Associate Attorney (2+ Years) – CA & AZ Licensed | Remote/Hybrid

Location: Remote (Must Reside in California) or Hybrid in Arizona
Licensure: Active California and Arizona Bar Required
Experience: 2+ Years
Schedule: Remote (CA) / Hybrid (AZ)
Compensation: $115,000 - $170,000 (Depending on experience)
Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits Package

About the Opportunity:

Our client is seeking a motivated Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join their growing practice. This role offers flexibility for attorneys based in California to work fully remote, while Arizona-based candidates will enjoy a hybrid schedule in a collaborative office environment.

This position provides hands-on litigation experience, strong mentorship, and long-term growth within a well-resourced and supportive firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defend insured clients in civil litigation matters, including personal injury, general liability, and property damage

  • Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice

  • Draft and respond to discovery and prepare legal memoranda

  • Conduct depositions and attend mediations and court hearings

  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy

  • Maintain consistent client communication and reporting

  • Meet deadlines and manage caseloads efficiently

Qualifications

  • Active bar admission in both California and Arizona (required)

  • 2+ years of insurance defense or related civil litigation experience

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage cases with increasing independence

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

  • Strong work ethic and client-focused mindset
