Trial Paralegal | Fort Lauderdale, FL
A well-established and respected law firm in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced Trial Paralegal to support its active civil litigation practice. This role is ideal for a seasoned litigation professional with recent hands-on trial experience who thrives in a fast-paced courtroom environment and plays a critical role from case inception through verdict.
What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive support in civil litigation matters, with a strong emphasis on trial preparation and in-court assistance
- Work closely with attorneys on recent and upcoming trials, managing exhibits, witness coordination, trial binders, demonstratives, and courtroom logistics
- Prepare and organize pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and pretrial filings
- Manage trial calendars and deadlines in both Florida state and federal courts
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and all aspects of trial logistics
- Track time entries and assist with billing in accordance with firm and client guidelines
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience as a Trial Paralegal in civil litigation (recent trial experience required)
- Demonstrated experience attending and supporting trials through completion
- Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure and court filing requirements
- Experience with billing procedures and time-entry systems
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-level litigation matters simultaneously
- Ability to work independently while supporting attorneys in an active, trial-focused practice
