A growing architectural millwork and custom wood fabrication company is seeking a skilled Production Manager to lead shop operations, ensure workflow efficiency, and drive quality across every phase of production.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in custom millwork, cabinetry, or wood fabrication, and a proven ability to manage teams, schedules, and projects in a high-detail, fast-paced environment.
๐ ๏ธ Key Responsibilities For A Production Manager:
Oversee day-to-day production floor operations, including scheduling, resource planning, and quality control
Manage a team of skilled fabricators, carpenters, finishers, and installers
Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to specification
Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and cut lists
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and installers to align production with field timelines
Implement and enforce safety standards and shop policies
โ Qualifications Of A Production Manager:
5+ years of experience in millwork or cabinetry production (with 2+ years in a supervisory role preferred)
Strong understanding of custom wood fabrication, joinery, and finishing techniques
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
Familiarity with CNC machinery, woodworking tools, and materials (MDF, hardwoods, veneers, etc.)
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Proficient with production management software or ERP systems
Detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and focused on quality
