Assurance Manager - Private Company

Location: Cleveland, OH

Overview

A leading regional accounting firm is seeking an Assurance Manager for its private company practice in Cleveland. You will lead audit and assurance engagements for privately held businesses in manufacturing, automotive, distribution, real estate and construction, healthcare and professional services.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and complete multiple audit engagements simultaneously
• Monitor budgets and workflow to deliver on tight deadlines
• Review workpapers and financial statements for accuracy and compliance
• Understand client operations and identify opportunities to add value
• Lead, mentor and develop audit seniors and staff
• Improve audit processes and support partners in expanding client relationships

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of progressive public accounting audit experience, currently at the manager level
• CPA license required
• Experience leading engagements in one or more private company industries
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards
• Exceptional communication, leadership and client service skills
