Tax Manager

Location: Glen Allen, VA

Overview

A fast-growing, multi-state accounting firm is seeking a Tax Manager in the Richmond area (Glen Allen). This leadership role blends deep technical tax expertise with team leadership, project management and client service, guiding staff and reviewing complex returns.

Responsibilities

• Review U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships and fiduciaries
• Review U.S. and state individual income and gift tax returns
• Prepare tax projections for individual and corporate clients
• Conduct tax research
• Communicate with clients and colleagues on tax matters
• Engage in consulting and special projects

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant tax experience preferred
• CPA or EA preferred
• Advanced Microsoft skills; UltraTax and Practice CS a plus
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and trial balance software
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to meet deadlines across multiple clients
