Job Title: Family Law Attorney
Location: Seattle, Washington
Position Overview:
GPAC is partnering with a well-established Seattle firm seeking a skilled Family Law Attorney to join their team. This role involves representing clients in a variety of family law matters, providing strategic and compassionate legal guidance, and helping clients navigate complex personal and legal issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct client consultations to understand unique circumstances and develop personalized legal strategies.
Represent clients in all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody and visitation, support matters, adoption, guardianship, and domestic violence proceedings.
Draft, review, and file legal documents, including petitions, settlements, custody agreements, and related filings.
Advocate for clients in negotiations, mediations, and court hearings to achieve favorable outcomes.
Conduct legal research to support case strategies and stay current on Washington family law developments and case law.
Maintain open communication with clients, providing guidance and updates throughout the legal process.
Collaborate with financial advisors, child psychologists, and other professionals to strengthen cases.
Uphold the highest ethical standards and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active Washington State Bar membership and eligibility to practice in Washington.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law, handling a range of matters.
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Empathetic and able to manage sensitive, emotionally charged situations.
