Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment, supporting continuous improvements in process quality and efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Start up and shut down equipment according to safety guidelines and Cal-OSHA requirements.
Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Perform preventative maintenance and keep accurate records.
Diagnose and repair equipment failures; replace defective components.
Maintain spare parts inventory and assist with equipment installations.
Calibrate testing instruments and provide operator training on equipment usage.
Collaborate with plant management to maintain departmental efficiency.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems (24V – 480V, AC/DC, motor controls, circuits, wiring diagrams).
Experience with electro-mechanical systems and mechanical troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.
Proficiency with basic hand tools and power tools.
Ability to diagnose and address basic mechanical issues.
Minimum Requirements:
2+ years of industrial experience (machine operation or similar).
Food processing experience is preferred.
Mechanically inclined with prior industrial maintenance training a plus.
Bilingual skills are a plus.
