Job Description:
The District Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and building strong relationships with key clients, contractors, and architects in the metal building industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sales success in metal building solutions and be comfortable managing customer accounts, generating leads, and closing deals. A strong knowledge of Tekla and MBS software is preferred to help facilitate the sales process and provide customers with comprehensive project solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Drive sales growth by developing and maintaining relationships with existing clients and seeking new business opportunities in the metal building market.
- Client Management: Build and sustain long-term relationships with contractors, architects, and project managers to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
- Sales Presentations & Proposals: Conduct product presentations, provide detailed proposals, and use Tekla/MBS software to deliver accurate sales estimates and project specifications.
- Lead Generation: Proactively seek out new clients and opportunities through networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging existing contacts.
- Negotiations & Closing: Effectively negotiate terms, close sales, and manage contract agreements to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to position the company effectively.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including estimating, engineering, and production, to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics. Provide regular updates to management regarding sales progress.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-10 years of proven success in metal building sales or a related field.
- Software Knowledge: Proficiency with Tekla and MBS software is preferred.
- Sales Acumen: Strong ability to develop sales strategies, generate leads, close sales, and meet revenue goals.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the metal building industry, including structural components, design, fabrication, and construction processes.
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to various stakeholders.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay organized in a remote work setting.
- Travel: Willingness to travel within the district as required, with mileage reimbursement provided.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary plus a 2% commission on every job sold.
