Payroll Specialist/AR/AP

GPAC is currently assisting a growing and stable client with their search for a Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist. This is a Commercial Roofing company that has been in business for over 15 years and has just had their long-time bookkeeper put in her two week notice. This individual will be responsible for accounting operations and more within the company.

Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:

• Planning, directing, and coordinating accounting operational functions
• Annual budgeting and forecasting
• Month end closing responsibilities
• Preparation of financial statements
• Work with auditors
• Work closely with leadership team
• Ensure compliance
• Process Payroll
• Handle AR/AP Functions

Bookkeeper/Accountant Background Requirements:

• B.S. degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred but not required
• Previous AR/AP Experience
• QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Paychex software experience Preferred
• Minimum of twoyears of Payroll/AR/AP experience
• Experience working in the Construction industry is preferred
• Strong financial management and business acumen
