Position Summary
The Fund Development Director will manage and build relationships, systems, social media / communications, and the full life cycle of grants and giving to grow the revenue of the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage grant writing for the organization with existing grantors which includes proposal writing and reporting requirements.
- Research and identify new grant opportunities as well as new individual prospects.
- Grow a major gifts program including identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors.
- Meet with prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish and maintain relationships with effective communication.
- Direct all fundraising efforts which include marketing materials and social media.
- Direct and coordinate yearly fundraising events.
- Direct employee fundraising activities.
- Work closely with Executive Director and Board of Directors.
- Oversee fundraising database and tracking systems.
- Oversee creation of publications to support fundraising activities.
- Maintain gift recognition programs.
- Develop, implement, and manage an annual giving program.
Role Requirements

- Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
- Have knowledge and experience in communications and fund raising techniques.
- Be organized and exhibit “follow through” on tasks and goals.
- Success in developing and managing fundraising campaigns from concept to delivery
- Experience using fund development databases / Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform(s)
