What You’ll Be Doing:
As a CNC Swiss Machinist, you'll be the heartbeat of our precision machining operation, working with cutting-edge Tsugami B0123-III Swiss Screw machines. You'll collaborate with engineering, tooling, and leadership to ensure our components meet exacting standards. This role also supports broader machining needs with mills, grinders, saws, and lathes.
Day-to-Day Impact:
Program, set up, and run Swiss-style CNC machines
Perform quality checks using precision inspection tools
Set up machines and perform first article inspections
Apply advanced math like geometry and trigonometry to maintain accuracy
Interpret complex blueprints with GD&T specs
Keep your area clean and organized in line with 5S practices
Proactively report nonconformance and help resolve issues
Recommend improvements for quality, safety, cost, and efficiency
Support additional CNC work using lathes, mills, grinders, and saws
Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement efforts
Perform light maintenance and tool/die work
What You Bring to the Table:
Required:
High school diploma or GED
2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of CNC machining experience
3+ years of Swiss machining (Tsugami preferred)
CAM experience (GibbsCAM a plus)
Proficiency in G & M code
Ability to interpret blueprints and safety/maintenance instructions
Preferred:
Strong problem-solving mindset
Team-first attitude with multitasking skills
Eagerness to keep learning and adapting to new tech
