 The Client Services Assistant is a brand ambassador and embodies GBA's goals, vision, and core values. The Client Services Assistant will respond to incoming client inquiries with thoughtfulness, integrity, attention to detail, and urgency, and will work closely with GBA legal teams to ensure the best outcomes for our clients. The individual will have a self-starting attitude, exemplary oral and written communication skills, an aptitude for finding solutions, and a high degree of integrity.

 The Client Services Assistant reports directly to the Partner in Charge and works closely with administrative managers on local office services and billing matters, while taking a lead position on best client services, office supplies, and housekeeping.

 This position is non-exempt, working 40 hours per week, and resides in the San Antonio office with flexibility to work remotely only in extreme cases of weather or emergency. Occasional overtime is paid at one and one-half times the hourly wage rate for hours over 40 in a week. The Firm offers competitive total rewards including medical, dental, vision, 401k contributions, holidays, including a full week between December 25th through January 1st, three weeks of PTO, and more.

 Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of administrative experience
  • Strong communications skills with superior attention to detail
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Creativity, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment with strong initiative and follow through

 Billing Responsibilities:

  • Client matter setup and maintenance in Centerbase
  • Process client payments in LawPay
  • Collections reporting and correspondence
  • Time entry for seasonal law clerks
  • Electronic deposits and bank drops
  • Emergency check printing

 Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Manage the front desk, answering telephones, delivering accurate and timely messages, and directing clients and guests to conference rooms.
  • Maintain and stock kitchen supplies, conference rooms, and common areas.
  • Prepare and expedite incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as filing, scanning, copying confidential legal documents, and file management.
  • Assist HR and the Firm's Culture Committee with the new hire experience and rewards and recognition programs.

 Compensation:

GBA offers a competitive compensation package including a market-competitive base salary commensurate with experience, medical, dental, vision, 401k contributions, holidays including a full week between December 24th through January 1st, PTO, annual bonuses, and more.
