A well-established and growing law firm in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a skilled Trust & Estate Litigation Attorney to join its team. This role focuses on highly contested wills, trust disputes, and complex probate litigation matters.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have experience handling sophisticated litigation matters and be a strong legal writer. Experience in complex business or commercial litigation is highly valued, particularly for candidates accustomed to high-conflict, high-asset disputes.
This position involves managing contested estate and trust matters from inception through resolution, including court appearances, motion practice, discovery, mediation, and trial preparation.
Responsibilities
Handle contested wills, trust disputes, and probate litigation cases
Draft substantive motions, pleadings, and memoranda
Conduct discovery, depositions, and evidentiary hearings
Represent clients in mediation and court proceedings
Develop litigation strategy for complex estate disputes
Qualifications
Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar
Experience in trust & estate litigation preferred
Background in complex business/commercial litigation is a plus
Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
Ability to manage high-conflict and high-stakes matters
