Job Description: As a Dermatology Physician Assistant, you will work directly under the supervision of a board-certified dermatologist, providing medical dermatology care to patients. You will play a key role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of dermatologic conditions, performing various procedures, and ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient evaluations, including medical history and physical exams
- Diagnose and manage a variety of dermatologic conditions (e.g., acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, skin cancer)
- Perform minor dermatologic procedures (e.g., biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy)
- Interpret lab results and imaging studies
- Provide patient education on skincare and treatment plans
- Assist in maintaining thorough and accurate patient records
- Collaborate closely with the physician to develop and adjust treatment plans
- Stay up-to-date with the latest dermatology research and best practices
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Dermatology Physician Assistant under a board-certified dermatologist
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in Texas
- Strong knowledge of medical dermatology conditions and treatments
- Ability to perform dermatologic procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and patient-focused care
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- BLS/ACLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, patient-centered dermatology practice
