Position Overview: As a Project Manager/Estimator, you will be responsible for managing drywall projects from pre-construction through completion while also preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates. This dual role requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee drywall projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Address and resolve any challenges or changes during the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, enforce safety standards, and ensure quality control.
  • Review blueprints, plans, and specifications to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for drywall projects.
  • Calculate materials, labor, and overhead costs, preparing proposals and bids that are competitive and thorough.
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate project scope and gather necessary information.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing, industry trends, and drywall installation techniques.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain open communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project and financial performance.
  • Document all aspects of the project, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management and estimating within the drywall or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of drywall systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Proficiency in estimating and project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required.
