We are partnered with a growing and established engineering firm that's seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Civil Engineering, Land Development to lead their expanding team.
This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in land development projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the future of our company, overseeing project execution, business development, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the civil engineering and land development department, ensuring high-quality project delivery on time and within budget.
Develop and execute business strategies to grow the land development portfolio in Lancaster and surrounding areas.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, municipalities, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Oversee project planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and company policies.
Collaborate with other departments to support integrated project delivery and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license required in PA
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering and land development, including leadership roles.
Proven success in managing complex land development projects from concept through construction.
Strong knowledge of local and state regulations, permitting processes, and industry best practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and foster client relationships.
