A growing environmental services organization is seeking a motivated Hazardous Waste Sales Specialist to support business development efforts throughout the Chicago market and surrounding Midwest region. This role focuses on hazardous waste disposal, contaminated soil remediation, industrial services, medical waste, and environmental compliance solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow new business opportunities across hazardous waste, industrial, environmental, and medical waste service lines
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing
  • Build strong relationships with industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, construction, municipal, and environmental clients
  • Identify opportunities involving:
    • Hazardous waste disposal
    • Contaminated soil transportation & remediation
    • Industrial cleaning services
    • Medical waste solutions
    • Waste profiling and compliance services
    • Recycling and sustainability programs
  • Prepare proposals, pricing, service agreements, and customer presentations
  • Coordinate with operations, transportation, and compliance teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Maintain and expand existing customer relationships within assigned territory

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within the hazardous waste, environmental services, industrial services, medical waste, soil remediation, recycling, or related environmental industry
  • Strong understanding of EPA, DOT, RCRA, manifests, profiling, TSDF operations, or environmental compliance preferred
  • Proven business development and account management experience
  • Experience selling into industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, construction, or municipal accounts preferred
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple sales opportunities and projects simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s license required
