We are seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join a dynamic litigation team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a range of insurance defense matters, including personal injury, property damage, and professional liability. This role offers significant client interaction, case ownership, and mentorship from experienced litigators.
Represent clients in insurance defense cases from inception through resolution.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality memoranda on complex issues.
Participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation.
Negotiate settlements and manage all aspects of case progression.
Maintain strong client communication and provide regular updates and advice.
Stay current with legal developments affecting insurance defense litigation.
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the California Bar (required).
3–10 years of experience in insurance defense or related litigation (preferred).
Proven litigation experience, including motion practice and depositions.
Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to manage caseload independently while working in a collaborative environment.
