Commercial Construction Project Engineer in Schaumburg

Overview: 

We are currently seeking a Construction Project Engineer. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in project engineering, particularly in construction projects involving all ground up projects with great diversity- senior living, healthcare, industrial and manufacturing, food & beverage, higher education, training centers, hospitality, retail, religious, and corporate office.. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a coachable attitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to professional growth within the company. We are looking for a project engineer who is eager to learn and grow, willing to work their way up and become proficient in all aspects of project management.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to plan, schedule, and execute projects effectively.
• Conduct on-site visits to monitor progress, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and resolve any issues that arise.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Assist in estimating costs and developing project budgets.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and expenditures.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure projects meet regulatory standards and client expectations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of ground up techniques and processes is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
• Willingness to adapt to changing job requirements and work environments.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
