Confidential Orchard Manager

Compensation: $65,000–$85,000 | Schedule: Full-Time | Year-Round | Relocation: Relocation candidates will be considered

An established agricultural operation is seeking an experienced Orchard Manager to oversee a 50–60+ acre orchard and lead its year-round operations. The orchard is actively expanding with new plantings and currently has a team of four full-time employees.

The ideal candidate has a strong outdoor agricultural background with experience leading employees and managing seasonal farming activities. Direct orchard experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of a 50–60+ acre orchard.
• Lead and work alongside a team of four full-time employees.
• Oversee seasonal activities including winter pruning, spring planting and pesticide applications, summer tree management, and fall harvest.
• Manage the establishment and care of newly planted trees.
• Plan labor and daily activities based on seasonal needs.
• Monitor crop/tree health and address production concerns.
• Coordinate crop protection and pesticide activities.
• Oversee harvest operations for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Support continued orchard growth and expansion.

Qualifications

• Outdoor agricultural experience required.
• Direct orchard or tree-fruit experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience managing agricultural, farming, crop, or similar outdoor operations.
• Previous leadership or crew-management experience.
• Understanding of seasonal agricultural operations, crop care, and harvesting.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work alongside the team.
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with pruning, planting, pesticide application, or tree care is highly valuable.
