Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join a dynamic litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense and a passion for delivering high-quality legal representation. You will be entrusted with handling diverse cases, including personal injury, property damage, and professional liability, from inception through resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in all phases of insurance defense litigation.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal memoranda.
Attend and conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.
Collaborate with senior attorneys to devise and execute effective case strategies.
Negotiate settlements and ensure accurate and timely case management.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, offering sound legal advice.
Stay current on relevant case law, regulations, and legal trends.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Oregon Bar is required.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in insurance defense or related litigation preferred.
Proven litigation and case-handling skills.
Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Analytical thinker with effective problem-solving skills.
