Job Description

Job Title: Design Engineer - Pre-Engineered Metal Building Structures

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer with expertise in pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) structures to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and detailing of metal building systems and will have proficiency in MBS software. A professional engineer with the ability to stamp and seal drawings is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer pre-engineered metal building structures (PEMB), including but not limited to structural framing, roofs, and foundations.
  • Utilize MBS (Metal Building Software) to create accurate and efficient designs.
  • Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for metal building projects.
  • Stamp and seal designs
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and construction teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance with project specifications.
  • Conduct site visits when necessary to assess conditions and assist with project implementation.
  • Ensure designs meet all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Review and revise designs based on client feedback and engineering analysis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and design innovations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the design of pre-engineered metal buildings.
  • Proficiency with MBS software (Metal Building Software).
  • Strong understanding of structural design codes, including local, state, and national codes.
  • Experience with Class A metal buildings preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:
