Field Operations Lead in Houston Waste Services

Location: Greater Houston Metro Area Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 Annual Base + Performance Incentive (up to 10%)

Type: Full-Time, Hands-On On-Site Role

A dynamic Houston-area firm specializing in environmental and disposal solutions is expanding its team and seeks a proactive Field Operations Lead to guide daily activities, team coordination, and regulatory adherence. This position is perfect for an adaptable professional with 2-5 years in field coordination, ready to advance in a practical, results-oriented setting—think overseeing mobile units, ensuring smooth workflows, and fostering a proactive crew without the frills.

Key Duties:

  • Coordinate resources and timelines for service pathways to maximize output and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor crew schedules, attendance, and performance metrics, focusing on efficiency and cost control.
  • Lead safety initiatives, including on-site reviews, training sessions, and incident analysis to uphold standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders to address operational challenges and maintain seamless execution.
  • Drive continuous enhancements in productivity, compliance, and team dynamics.

What We're Looking For:

  • High school education or equivalent; associate's level preferred.
  • 6+ years in vehicle upkeep, ideally with heavy-duty transport units (Class 8 equivalents).
  • 3+ years leading teams in coordination or upkeep roles.
  • Valid commercial license (Class B or above) with clean history.
  • Preferred: Technical certifications in mechanical systems (e.g., diagnostics, systems mastery).
  • Solid grasp of workplace guidelines, transport rules, and admin tools.
  • Eager, coachable mindset—ready to roll up sleeves and support multi-site efforts.
