Position Overview
The firm is seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal who is self-sufficient, highly independent, and capable of managing their own caseload. The ideal candidate will bring an existing book of business and client base, with the ability to integrate quickly into a small firm environment. This position is well-suited for lateral hires or solo practice attorneys looking to transition into a structured yet flexible firm.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of probate cases from start to finish with minimal oversight.
Prepare legal documents, filings, and correspondence related to probate administration.
Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner.
Ensure compliance with Tennessee probate laws and deadlines.
Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff while maintaining autonomy over casework.
Qualifications
Proven experience in probate law with the ability to independently manage cases.
Ability to bring and maintain an existing book of business.
Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
Highly organized and capable of working in a fast-paced, small firm environment.
