Position Overview

The firm is seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal who is self-sufficient, highly independent, and capable of managing their own caseload. The ideal candidate will bring an existing book of business and client base, with the ability to integrate quickly into a small firm environment. This position is well-suited for lateral hires or solo practice attorneys looking to transition into a structured yet flexible firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of probate cases from start to finish with minimal oversight.

  • Prepare legal documents, filings, and correspondence related to probate administration.

  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner.

  • Ensure compliance with Tennessee probate laws and deadlines.

  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff while maintaining autonomy over casework.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in probate law with the ability to independently manage cases.

  • Ability to bring and maintain an existing book of business.

  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.

  • Highly organized and capable of working in a fast-paced, small firm environment.
