Junior Estimator – Construction

A growing construction company is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join their preconstruction team. This role is ideal for someone early in their construction career who is eager to develop estimating skills and gain experience analyzing project costs, reviewing plans, and supporting the bidding process.

The Junior Estimator will work closely with senior estimators and project managers to assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing cost estimates for residential or commercial construction projects
• Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze material and labor costs
• Assist with subcontractor and vendor bid solicitation
• Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software
• Support the preparation of bid proposals and project budgets
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and subcontractors
• Help track project costs and assist with cost analysis

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in construction estimating or construction-related work preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Basic understanding of construction plans and specifications
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with estimating software is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000 per year
