Job Title: Masonry Estimator

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Masonry Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for masonry projects, analyzing project specifications, and ensuring competitive and profitable bids. This position requires strong knowledge of masonry construction methods, materials, and labor costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate masonry cost estimates.
  • Perform material take-offs and labor cost assessments to develop competitive bids.
  • Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing for materials and services.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements.
  • Identify potential project risks and provide cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and company profitability goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of masonry materials, market trends, and labor costs.
  • Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Prepare bid proposals and present estimates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Track and review past project costs to improve future estimating accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Masonry Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of masonry construction techniques, materials, and labor requirements.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
