This Iowa-based construction firm supports commercial, retail, municipal, and industrial builds throughout the Des Moines metro. They maintain a highly organized structure, modern equipment, and consistent project pipelines.
The Superintendent manages daily on-site operations, coordinates subcontractors, enforces safety practices, and ensures project deliverables are achieved as scheduled. This role is heavily field-focused.
Direct day-to-day site activities and workforce coordination.
Maintain project schedules and daily logs.
Oversee inspections, QA/QC, and testing requirements.
Ensure field safety compliance and enforce site protocols.
Forecast manpower needs and material quantities.
Collaborate with the project manager on cost, sequencing, and subcontract performance.
Support punch-list execution and turnover.
5+ years supervisory field experience on commercial or industrial projects.
Ability to read drawings, interpret specifications, and guide trade sequencing.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Solid safety background and jobsite management skills.
