Job Description

A General Contractor is seeking a Project Manager to join its growing team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is ideal for a construction professional with 4–7 years of commercial construction experience who is ready to take ownership of projects and work closely with field and executive teams to deliver high-quality builds across the region.

Projects commonly range from $10M–$80M+ and may include:

  • Healthcare facilities and hospital renovations

  • Higher education and university buildings

  • Corporate office and workplace environments

  • Mixed-use developments

  • Large institutional and civic projects

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through completion

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost controls

  • Lead subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, and contract administration

  • Coordinate with superintendents to ensure field operations align with project plans

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation

  • Maintain strong communication with owners, architects, and project stakeholders

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality expectations

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of experience working for a commercial General Contractor

  • Experience managing ground-up or large renovation commercial projects

  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration

  • Ability to manage subcontractor relationships and coordinate project teams

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

Compensation

  • Base Salary: Typically $95,000 – $120,000 depending on experience

  • Bonus: Performance-based annual bonus potential
