Job Title: Shipping Coordinator
Location: Near Conway, SC
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Shipping Coordinator to oversee and manage all aspects of our shipping operations. This role is responsible for negotiating shipping rates, coordinating shipments from small precision parts to full pallets, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective shipping methods. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and experienced in logistics within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate and manage all outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
· Negotiate pricing and contracts with shipping carriers to secure the best rates and service levels.
· Select the most cost-effective and efficient shipping methods for various types of shipments, from single components to full pallets.
· Generate and print shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation.
· Track shipments, resolve any shipping-related issues, and communicate updates to internal teams and customers.
· Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations, including domestic and international shipping requirements.
· Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and carrier performance.
· Work closely with production, sales, and customer service teams to coordinate logistics needs.
· Implement and optimize shipping processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
· Oversee packaging and labeling to ensure accuracy and protection of shipped items.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or precision metals environment.
· Strong negotiation skills with experience working with shipping carriers.
· Hands-on experience with shipping software, label printing, and freight management.
· Knowledge of domestic shipping regulations.
· Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to lift and move packages as needed.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shipping-related software.
